About VSAB

As the Valuation Standards Advisory Board (VSAB), we are dedicated to advancing knowledge and upholding standards in the public interest. Collaborating with our members at VSAB, we work inclusively, supporting their practices and fostering connections within the industry. The board ensures fast-track capacity building, enabling its Member Valuers to provide Standards-compliant Valuations for their clients. VSAB focus on the practical steps needed to bring plans to life. This includes developing effective strategies for educating and disseminating information to ensure that the implementation efforts are just as strong as the vision for the future The IOV-RVF, through VSAB, became the first RVO in India to conduct the Two-Day Valuation Standards Training Program in New Delhi as early as 2019. Subsequently, nine training programs were conducted across India, out of which six training programs were held in physical mode and three Online Training programs held during the pandemic, i.e., in the years 2020, 2021 and 2022. Around 1100 RVs have completed these Valuation Standards Training Programs. Feedback and peer reviews suggest that these RVs can provide Standards-Compliant Valuation across assets and regions for various statutes The members' contributions extend beyond their professions, enhancing the valuation profession and ecosystem. Every action we take aims to support our current and future membership to uphold, advance, and inspire professionalism for the greater good of valuation standards

The Valuation Standards Advisory Board’s purpose lies in creating and managing guidelines for asset, company or financial instrument valuation. The VSAB operates as a catalyst for advancing the field of valuation, driving the development, enhancement, and adoption of best practices and universally accepted standards. It aims to uphold consistency, reliability and transparency in valuation practices across industries, fostering credibility and accuracy in financial reporting and decision-making.

Our Approaches

VSAB schedules meetings and conferences occasionally to involve and highlight the critical discussions to foster a collective approach towards enhancing valuation practices. IOV RVF has conducted nine training programs across India, and around 1100 RVs have completed the Valuation Standards Training Programs.
